The Member of the Year for 2008 goes to...

Two individuals of the website actually! Each of these deserve this reward in their own ways. However there's one thing that they have both done to deserve it, and that's put a lot of time into it.

So congratulations to Dinadan and SouthDunedain.

Congratulations! You have made over 1000 posts in the last year, all of which have been relavent as far as I know and you are most probably THE most active member of the website. The amount of time you've put into posting in total on the website is fantastic and the Staff of Fate of Middle Earth believe you deserve to rewarded in such a way. Congratulations and Thank you for sticking with the site, even when it undergoed times of innactiveness.

Congratulations! Though this reward hasn't been given to you for your activeness and sheer amount of posts, we still believe that you deserve this reward as much as Dinadan. Everybody knows the amount of time and hard work you've put into Sons of Gondor since its beginning stages and its turned out a fantastic fan supplement I must say. Not only that but also that you've decided to make it 'One Ring, ThePalantir and Fate of Middle Earth Exclusive' is great and we truly do appreciate it! Congratulations and Thank you!

The Award for Member of the Year I'm afraid isn't much. I'd love to be able to reward you with something more than Hero Points but I probably can't so feel free to add 'Official Member of the Year 2008' in your signature if you wish. 250 Hero Points will be rewarded to each of you as a thank you and a congratulations for your achievement.

Congratulations guys as I said!

Il Rico, I was just wondering, would you be able to make a reward for the profile for 'Member of the Year - [insert year here]' just like the competition awards only for Members of the year? I don't know if it'd be possible but it seems like it'd be a better reward than just Hero Points.

I'm totally overwhelmed. Has there been some mistake? Dinadan, yes...but me?

Anyway, I really don't want to turn this into an Oscars acceptance speech, so thank you very, very, very, very much. When I started editing SoG, it wasn't with the aim of winning rewards, but to have a good time - which I did. And it wouldn't have happened without all those people who gave me articles...with or without my firing off at them for late arrivals! So this is their award, too: most noticeably Boromir Captain of Gondor, El Rabbito, FoI/LS, and Wolfy.

Actually, that does sound Oscary, so I'll shut up. Rolling Eyes

I will try to be more active, although my activity on TP has gone down in the last few weeks, as work begins to tell its toll. As you can see, I do tend to check back in every few days - it's just that there's so few posts ATM, I never really write anything. Ah well, roll on the Summer.

If you have the means to host a 130 MB file, I'd be happy to let you have it. It was contracted to TP for three months, but that's over now - so you can have second choice, if you want!

And look out for at least one Project coming up this Summer, for which I will need a lot of help, in order to blitz it and get it out in under 30 months!

Oh I realise your aim with Sons of Gondor won't have been to win rewards, it's merely something you've obviously achieved here aswell Smile

It's a great fan supplement and it deserves the mention Smile
